The MateMate Platform is a technology that enables the creation of ultra local tools instantaneously. The platform was originally conceived as an iPhone mapping library to be targeted at large scale conventions, but as the Densebrain team fleshed out the solution options we realized its full potential. The solution devised allows users with smart phones to instantly find the real time, optimal path from Point A to Point B, using any transportation means available: train, bus, or walking. We have integrated real time transit scheduling to assure MateMate becomes an indispensable application for on-the-go users worldwide.
The platform technology has matured through the first several iterations of NYCMate and as of December 2010 we've started implementing other North American cities, creating the CityMate line of MateMate tools. Due to the maturity of the technology we were able to implement a DCMate version in a little under three days - including routing, messaging, customization, GPS, etc. The consumer offerings for MateMate are currently focused on CityMates, however there are two additional very unique iterations that will start production in 2011.
